An East Anglian inspection and verification firm for the oil, gas and renewables industries set up under two years ago said it expects a 20% increase in turnover thanks to new contracts.
Inspection Verification Bureau (IVB), based in Great Yarmouth, said among its latest contracts is inspection services work with engineering contractor ODE, also based in Norfolk.
This is to support East Anglia Offshore Wind, a joint venture between Scottish Power Renewables (SPR) and Vattenfall Wind Power to develop a windfarm off the East Anglia coast.
It also has work with Rossi Long, ODE, National Oilwell Varco and Petrofac, including vendor inspection services for ODE on the west of Shetland Solan oil field development topsides project.
The firm currently has a £2million turnover and expects that to rise 20% by the end of its financial year ending in October.
Chairman Chris Bolton said: “We’re getting lots of good inquiries, more than half of them directly through our website.
“Interest is coming in from all over the world and around 80-85% of our income is from overseas. But we are working hard to boost UK trade as well.”
