Economic development partnership Aberdeen City and Shire Economic Future (Acsef) has beefed up its oil and gas expertise by appointing Centrica Energy’s Paul de Leeuw to its board.
Mr de Leeuw has 25 years’ experience in the sector and is strategy and commercial director at the exploration and production arm of energy giant Centrica.
He is also chairman of Aberdeen Foyer Enterprise and a governor of Robert Gordon’s College.
Mr de Leeuw said: “The energy sector is pivotal to the economy of the north-east and I look forward to working with the rest of the Acsef board in ensuring that the region secures the investment it needs to continue to be the industry’s supply-chain hub, and that we anchor energy companies here for the long-term.”
