Statoil and partners in the Aasta Hansteen field have submitted their plan for development and operation (PDO) of the field to Norway’s Ministry of Petroleum and Energy.
Concurrently, the company and its partners in the Polarled pipeline development project have submitted its plan for installation and operation (PIO).
The field is estimated to contain about 1.66trillion cu.ft of recoverable gas reserves and some 4.88billion barrels of recoverable condensate. Project cost is set at $5.7billion.
