Aberdeen-based oilfield service firm Glacier Energy Services has appointed two new managing directors to lead a change in the structure of its business.
Its businesses will now come under two divisions, Glacier Offshore and Glacier Engineering.
Mark Derry, 51, previously chief operating officer of Ashtead Technology’s offshore division, MD of SBS Marine and also Hydratight’s UK head, will join Glacier as head of the company’s offshore division.
George Leggate, 43, who had been leading Glacier’s Wellclad business, will now head Glacier Engineering.
Scott Martin remains chairman while Dave Sturrock, who started as chief executive when the firm was founded in 2011, becomes strategic director.
Glacier Energy Services’ combined business operations turn over more than £10million, with more than 75 staff working across the UK and internationally from operational bases in Aberdeen, Glasgow and Newcastle.
The firm is backed by private-equity business Maven Capital Partners and the Simmons Parallel Energy Fund.
