Asco Group of Aberdeen has been awarded a five-year contract by Lundin for supply base services in Norway by Lundin.
The multimillion- pound deal is for supply base and logistics services in support of Lundin’s drilling and operational activities on the Norwegian Continental Shelf including the Brynhild and Edvard Grieg fields as well as exploration drilling in the North Sea.
The five-year contract has two further two-year options.
ASCO Norway’s managing director, Runar Hatletvedt, said: “Lundin is one of the biggest oil companies operating on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and to be selected as their main supplier of logistics and supply base services is something we consider a major vote of confidence.”
The contract includes supply base services, offshore containers, transport and freight forwarding, waste management and provision of logistics personnel.
ASCO has operated in Norway since 1995 when it set up its first quayside logistics base in Tananger, near Stavanger.
It now has over 120 people working in the country across an established network of specialist oil and gas logistics bases all the way along the Norwegian coastline from Farsund in the South, to Kirkenes in the North, supporting work in the North Sea, Norwegian Sea and Barents Sea.
It also recently opened a freight management office in Oslo, supporting its international freight management division.
