Aberdeen companies will make up 14 of the 25 firms on the Scottish pavilion at this week’s Australian oil and gas show in Perth.
The trade mission’s leader, Scottish Enterprise chief executive Lena Wilson, said: “With the Australian oil and gas industry expected to spend up to £15.4billion on new projects in the next five years alone, there are opportunities for our companies to share their knowledge and innovation with operators in Australian markets, while tapping into new export markets.”
Water-purifying specialists Opus, which has a research and development centre in Orkney, will be using the event to launch a new compact flotation product to help oil firms assess the nature of contaminated water.
Scottish Development International will be holding a breakfast seminar in the Marcliffe Hotel in Aberdeen on Tuesday, April 16, for companies interested in learning more about the opportunities in Australia’s oil and gas sector.
