Oil and gas logistics firm Asco Group has added new directors to its senior management team for Europe.
Walter Robertson joins the Aberdeen company’s Europe board as developments director, having most recently headed up Asco’s freight management division. He joined Asco in 1985 and has undertaken various managerial roles across the group, most recently as managing director of its North Sea Lifting business.
The other new European business directors – Scott Donald, Zak Fleming and David Rae – are all recent recruits to the company.
Mr Donald is Asco’s new finance director for Europe. Born and educated in Aberdeen, he qualified as a chartered accountant in 1995 with Anderson Anderson and Brown and has held senior roles in the oil and gas sector; most recently in Calgary with TransCanada Turbines.
New Europe logistics and operations director Mr Fleming – the former north-west Europe area head for oil and gas at Panalpina – brings over 25 years’ experience in the industry.
Mr Rae, previously sales director at Swire Oilfield Services, becomes Asco’s European commercial and sales director.
Asco Europe chief executive Andrew Macdonald said: “These appointments add significant strength, depth and breadth to our leadership team and I look forward to working with Scott, Zak, David and Walter as we guide Asco’s European business towards further growth and success in the years to come.”
