The new headquarters for subsea installation contractor Bibby Offshore at Prospect Park, Westhill, is entering its final phase of construction.
The 53,427 square-foot office facility, which represents a multimillion-pound investment, is on track to be completed by next month. Bibby Offshore staff are due to relocate from its offices at Waterloo Quay to the new premises by the end of May.
A planning application has also been submitted for a new warehouse workshop and yard in Peregrine Road, Westhill.
It would comprise 3,800 sqft of offices, 18,500 sqft workshop/warehouse space with a 5,000sqftmezzanine deck and 33,000sqft yard.
Bibby Offshore chief executive Howard Woodcock said: “Development of the office site has progressed well and we are pleased it is running on schedule.
“Demand for our services is forecasted to rise significantly over the next five years and the planned warehouse facility will include a fully equipped workshop and maintenance bays, allowing for the expansion of the remotely operated vehicle fleet for Bibby Remote Intervention. The warehouse will also accommodate the additional supply-chain management support needed to facilitate Bibby Offshore’s vessel fleet growth.”
The new Bibby Offshore headquarters are being developed by Knight Property Group, whose director, Howard Crawshaw, said: “The new headquarters of Bibby Offshore is the largest pavilion on the Prospect Park site.
“Attracting businesses of this calibre is testament to the high quality of the facilities provided.”
Bibby Offshore has more than 1,000 people working onshore and offshore worldwide, with offices in Aberdeen, Liverpool, Singapore and Trinidad.
