Oilfield service firm Expro opened new offices in Aberdeen yesterday as part of a £5million investment.
Business Secretary Vince Cable visited the company as it officially opened its well-intervention base at Dyce, where about 200 people will be based. Expro said the new Carnegie and Young buildings and renovation of its Bruce offices, represented nearly £5million of investment in the coming year. It is also spending £13million on well-testing equipment to support expansion plans in Europe and the former Soviet Union.
Mr Cable also visited the Glen Garioch whisky distillery at Oldmeldrum as part of his tour of the north-east yesterday.
