The average annual Statoil wage was £135,000 in 2012, with chief executive Helge Lund salary up 13.5% on 2011 to £1.55million.
According to Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet, the Norwegian oil giant paid out £2.61billion in wages to their average of 19,645 employees last year.
