Liquid Robotics, a provider of autonomous ocean robots and high-value ocean data services, has successfully raised $45million. The money will invested in growing capacity.
A key product is the Wave Glider, which is the first unmanned autonomous marine robot to use only the ocean’s endless supply of wave energy for propulsion.
Wave Glider uses multi-patented systems that allow it to cost-effectively collect and transmit data gathered during year-long missions, over thousands of miles, or while holding station. It was promoted at Offshore Northern Seas 2012 on the Schlumberger stand.
