North-east energy service company Proserv said yesterday it had opened a research and development hub in Norway.
The Westhill-based company said the Trondheim base would design subsea control and communication technologies.
Chief executive David Lamont described the facility as “another major milestone in Proserv’s exceptional growth story”, adding: “New technology is the lifeblood of Proserv and, through the work of our talented engineering team in Trondheim, we aim to expand the group’s research and development capabilities.”
Proserv employs 1,700 people worldwide, including more than 350 in the north-east.
