Aberdeen firm Rigmar Services said yesterday it had won a multimillion-pound deal with rig owner Rowan Drilling.
Rigmar, which provides support services to the energy industry, said it would work on two of the US firm’s platforms under the contract.
As part of the agreement, Rigmar will carry out inspection, construction, engineering and design services on the Rowan Stavanger jackup rig so it can be tied in to Talisman Sinopec Energy’s Arbroath platform in the North Sea. The firm said it would also be working on the Rowan Gorilla V.
