Aker Solutions said today it had won a £100million contract for offshore engineering services at Husky Energy’s Canadian White Rose field.
The news comes after the Norwegian oilfield engineering group said last month it had suffered a “truly disappointing” start to the year.
Work includes studies, modifications and campaign maintenance services over a five year period with an option to extend the contract.
Tore Sjursen, head of maintenance, modifications and operations at Norwegian Aker Solutions, said: “Our presence in North America is increasing and the award will be a good foundation for further growth in Canada.”
The White Rose field is located 217 miles southeast of St. John’s, Canada, and consists of a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel.
