Aberdeen-based Maritime Assurance and Consulting (Mac) has won its largest contract to date for work in UK waters.
The firm said it had signed a three-year deal with BP to offer marine services including vessel assurance, consultancy work and providing workers for the oil giant’s North Sea operations.
Mac said the agreement, the first contract won by its marine assurance team, would be worth hundreds of thousands of pounds every year.
Marine manager Alan Booth said: “This is our largest contract win to date, testament to the skill and experience available within the Mac business and our ability to support major operators. We are confident this will be the first of many successes for our team.”
Mac provides a range of consultancy and support services to the worldwide marine, construction, drilling and floating production industries.
The company, set up in 2011, turned over £2.3million in its last financial year and is looking to grow its workforce by around 50% from its current level of 23 employees.
