Safety performance in the North Sea was celebrated at an award ceremony in the Ardoe House hotel near Aberdeen last night.
More that 400 guests attended the dinner organised by the North Sea chapter of the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC).
The chapter chairman’s special award for safety leadership went to Paul Ellis, senior toolpusher at Archer.
Other honours went to Northern Offshore and Ensco in the jackups category, Noble Drilling and Stena Drilling for semisubmersibles and Archer for platforms, while Stena won the drillship award.
The environmental prize went to KCA Deutag and the associate member award was presented to ScanTech Offshore.
