The UK operation of international oil service group Aker Solutions has named a new vice-president to lead greenfield projects.
Bob Shaw’s appointment is the latest new senior management appointment at the Aker Solutions subsea business in Aberdeen as the company embarks on the next stage in its growth strategy.
He will lead development of all greenfield projects, focusing on delivery of work for clients including Statoil, Petrobras, Total E&P, Dana Petroleum and Eni.
Matt Corbin, managing director of Aker Solutions’ subsea business in the UK, said: “This is a key appointment for our subsea business in the UK. We have won a number of major contracts in recent months and Bob will play an important role in realising our strategy as we look to capitalise on further opportunities going forward.”
Mr Shaw was previously a programme manager with engineering, procurement and construction contractor CH2M Hill.
