Explorer Lansdowne Oil and Gas said yesterday it was looking forward to an exciting, high-impact drilling programme in the north Celtic Sea next year.
The company has a 20% share in the Barryroe discovery, and said it was confident a farm-out deal could be reached for further appraisal of the find; thought to hold 1billion barrels of oil.
Lansdowne – 21.48% owned by Westhill-based SeaEnergy – also said 2012 pre-tax losses widened slightly to £1.1million from £885,000 in the previous year.
