AGR Petroleum Services said yesterday it had signed an £18million deal with Genel Energy.
The oil service provider said it would provide well-management support for Genel’s offshore drilling campaigns in north and west Africa under the contract.
AGR said the agreement, won by its Aberdeen team, would involve 10 wells starting in the final quarter of this year.
Ian Burdis, AGR’s executive vice-president for the UK and west Africa, said: “This . . . strengthens AGR’s position as the premier provider of well management and associated services in north and west Africa.”
Genel is led by chief executive Tony Hayward, the former boss at BP.
