Energy firm E.ON’s upstream division said today it had agreed to buy a 25% in GDF Suez’s Austen field in the central North Sea for an undisclosed sum.
The field, which is located in the east central Graben area, comprises a gas condensate discovery and two oil discoveries.
The deal follows appraisal drilling by GDF Suez in 2012 and takes place as the field, which was previously called Jacqui, moves into the development stage.
