North Sea-focused oil and gas company Ithaca Energy said today it had appointed Mr Jannik Lindbaek as a non-executive director of the Calgary-based firm.
Mr Lindbæk previously held the position of chairman of Norwegian oil giant Statoil, prior to its merger with Norsk Hydro in 2007.
He has also been chairman of Den norske bank and Transparency International Norway , a non-governmental organisation that monitors and publicises corporate and political corruption in international development.
Ithaca’s net (after-tax) earnings increased by 160% last year to £61.6million, although pre-tax profits were down by 21% at £19.3million.
