Production from the giant Buzzard field in the North Sea should return to normal by midweek after interruptions over the weekend.
Operator Nexen said the plant was restarted yesterday after intermittent production over the weekend that stopped altogether on Sunday due to equipment failure.
The 160,000 barrels a day field suffered a prolonged closure towards the end of last year, but Chinese-owned Nexen said they expected production in the key field to return to normal by the middle of this week.
