UK fabrication firm Sembmarine SLP has built a replacement helideck for a North Sea platform.
The company said the new 72-tonne landing area had been installed on the Vanguard gas installation, which is in the southern North Sea and is operated by ConocoPhillips.
The value of the deal was not disclosed.
SLP managing director Paul Thomson said installing the helideck had been a “great achievement” despite delays caused by poor weather.
“The final completion stage is equally important and to achieve the handover of an operational helideck to the client as expeditiously as possible without productions delays remains the target, and above all safely,” he said.
Lowestoft-based Sembmarine SLP was previously known as SLP Engineering before the company was bought by a subsidiary of Singapore-based marine and offshore engineering group Sembcorp Marine last year.
