Shell lifted the force majeure in place on on gas supplies to Nigeria’s liquefied natural gas plant.
The company had declared force majeure on May 16, after a leak along the Eastern gathering system in Rivers State. Up to 1.5billion standard cubic feet of gas per day was affected by the leak
“The force majeure was lifted yesterday,” a Shell spokesman confirmed.
The force majeure had been declared just a month after a previous one on supplies to the gas plant, coming in the wake of attacks by oil thieves, had been lifted.
