Samsung has awarded WorleyParsons a contract for the detailed design and engineering for the topsides process modules of the floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel for a deepwater project off Nigeria.
The work, worth more than $100million, will be executed under the Nigerian local content law. As a result it will be carried out largely in Lagos, Nigeria, in conjunction with a consortium of Nigerian engineering companies, NETCO/DeltaAfrik/IESL, as approved by Nigerian National Petroleum Co.
