Malaysian oilfield services company Bumi Armada has landed a £120million agreement with Lukoil to provide engineering work on two fields in the Caspian Sea.
The work, which will be carried out and completed in 2015, will see the firm’s carrying out engineering, procurement, installation and pre-commissioning work for the Filanovsky and Korchagin fields.
It includes procuring and installing six infield lines over a 40km length, with the Armada Installer pipelay barge carrying out the work.
“Lukoil is a repeat customer who is a major player in the Caspian region and the fourth largest privately-owned oil and gas company in the world by proven oil reserves,” said chief executive Hassan Basma
“We are buoyed by this supplementary agreement which underscores their confidence in our ability to deliver and the good working relationship we have developed. This further
consolidates our position as an EPIC provider in this region.”
