Energy industry services giant Wood Group says its revenues from the Gulf of Mexico have reached more than £370million after picking up a clutch of new contracts in the region.
Three of the company’s arms – Wood Group Mustang, Kenny and PSN – have been driving the success in the Mexican Gulf,
Wood Group PSN said it was recently awarded a five-year contract by Hess to support the Stampede, Baldpate and Tubular Bells platforms, including operations and computer maintenance management.
“Wood Group’s business has grown significantly since our early days in the Gulf of Mexico market,” said Wood Group chief executive Bob Keiller.
“Our success can be attributed to our people, the relationships they’ve built with our customers, and their focus on working safely and seeking to assure the safety of everything we design, construct, operate and maintain.
“Our people work to understand our customers so we can anticipate their needs and aim to exceed their expectations. They are the heart of our business.”
The company, which employs more than 3500 staff in the region, is also providing engineering design for six greenfield projects, including two in the Bay of Campece, while Wood Group Kenny is providing engineering services for 12 deepater projects.
