35 people have been evacuated from the Heimdal platform and production shut down after a power failure last night.
The Norwegian north sea platform suffered a power outage yesterday evening, which forced a partial evacuation of the platform.
Emergency generators eventually kicked in on the platform, but Lars Gunner Dahle, a spokesman for operators Statoil, told Aftenbladet that some systems could not be rebooted.
“It is estimated that it will take one to two days before we can start up again,” he added.
