Brazilian state oil company Petrobras says its output for June rose by 4.6% compared to the previous month.
A return to action of platforms in the Campos Basin, and the start-up of new wells connected to the Cidade de Itajai floating production vessel, contributed to the growth as output hit 1.98million barrels per day across the company’s fields.
In total, Brazilian output of oil and gas in June hit 2.5million boed, up 5.5% on the previous month.
Increased gas demand in Brazil saw not only a 6.8% rise in production for June to 70,834,000 cubic metres a day, but the company’s international output increased to 15.4million cubic metres per day, largely due to the demand for Bolivian gas.
