Technip has landed an engineering and supply deal for Total’s Moho Nord project in the Republic of Congo.
The two-stage project, the largest development in the country, will see the French services group providing project management, procurement and supply for modifications to the Alima floating production unit.
Two new subsea tie-backs are to be established as part of the brownfield development connecting the FPU and the shallow-water N’Kossa platform.
“This contract, the second one awarded to Technip for the Moho Nord development project, illustrates Total E&P’s confidence in our expertise,” said Technip’s senior vice president for the region, Jean-Mark Aubry.
“This fast-track project represents a milestone in consolidating our presence in the high-development potential West Africa offshore market.”
Work on the contract is scheduled to be completed by early 2015, with Technip also assisting in offshore construction for the project between 2014 and 2016.
