Offshore contractor Modec has landed the contract to provide a floating production, storage and offloading vessel for Tullow’s Tweneboa, Enyenra and Ntomme fields off Ghana.
The company, which will be responsible for engineering, procurement and operation of the FPSO, will convert the VLCC Centennial J for the project.
The vessel, which will be delivered in 2016, will be capable of handling production of 80,000 barrels of oil a day, 170mm standard cubic feet of gas a day and with storage capacity for 1.7million barrels.
“Modec is very proud to have been selected by the TEN field partners to provide and operate the FPSO for TEN, a world class facility in a world class field,” said Modec chief executive Toshiro Miyazaki.
“We are equally pleased to be a part of the team that will provide a needed energy resource for the benefit of the people of the Republic of Ghana.”
The Centennial J will be the second vessel Modec has provided in the area, following the FPSO Kwame Nkrumah’s delivery to the Jubilee field.
