
Apache has shut down an platform in the Gulf of Mexico – after a one ounce oil leak.
The incident happened last night at an exploration and production paltform near Grand Isle, Louisiana.
The company said the release was a few drops of condensate ‘estimated to be less than one ounce’.
Meanwhile a crude pipeline near an asphalt refinery in Los Angeles has leaked two barrels of crude.
A spokesman for Alon Energy said the pipeline had been shut and cleanup work on the soil was underway.
