Leni Gas and Oil says it has made the first sale from its new tank at Trinidad’s Goudron field after increasing capacity at the site as it looks to reactivate dozens of wells on the island.
The company has now been certified to sell up to 745 barrels a day from the field, with the new facility selling its first oil on Friday.
The deal comes as the company brings in new pump jacks to support ten newly bought Chinese pumps, with the company looking to activate up to 90 of the original 154 wells on the field.
“In the original 2011 field assessment we anticipated reactivating about 50 wells, this has now risen to nearly 90 wells, and there is potential for this level to be exceeded,” said Leni chief executive Neil Ritson.
