Halliburton is to provide project management services for Max Petroleum’s pre-salt project in Kazakhstan.
Exploration firm Max is looking to dril the $20million well to 7250m, after Halliburton provided geomechanical studies of the site ahead of a drilling programme.
Under the terms of the agreement, Halliburton will manage drilling and sidetrack operations at the well, select and mobilise a suitable rig and arrange procurement and logistics for the project.
Max said it was looking for partners for the project to begin work next year.
