Thailand-based subsea firm Mermaid Maritime has landed a contract to provide North Sea services for Bibby Offshore.
The undisclosed-value deal will see the company’s Mermade Endurer dive support vessel being provided to Bibby for inspection, maintenance and light construction work next year.
The contract for the three-year-old purpose-built DSV will begin in the second quarter of 2014, and continue until the end of the year with an option for an extension, and marks Mermaid’s return to the North Sea sector.
“The Mermaid Endurer was built in Norway, specifically for these conditions, and we are confident that we can fulfill Bibby Offshore’s expectations,” said Mermaid chief executive Chalermchai Mahagitsiri.
