Process Safety Solutions said yesterday it could accommodate double its current workforce after investing £250,000 in its Aberdeen headquarters.
The oil and gas service business, which employs 22 people, said it wanted to recruit up to eight people in the coming months after extending its Great Western Road offices.
Founder Dave Green said the former guest house, now known as Process House, could accommodate an additional 20 engineers, however.
The operations director said PSS now had an order book of £2.5million thanks to growing demand in the North Sea, the Middle East and Africa.
PSS currently has an annual turnover of £1.5million, and the firm has previously forecast 100% annual growth for each of the next five years.
Mr Green said yesterday that a multimillion-pound contract with French energy firm Total to provide system-support services for two North Sea platforms, plus the St Fergus gas terminal, had now been rolled out to all of the operator’s assets on the UK continental shelf.
“The pressure is always on, but we are getting repeat business from the likes of Total and it is very reassuring when a company like that comes back for more,” he added.
