Fledgling oil and gas inspection specialist Aisus Offshore is targeting turnover of about £1million in only its first year in business.
The Aberdeen firm has already secured work worth £500,000 through a mix of call-off contracts and service agreements. It employs just six people in the Technology Centre at the Aberdeen Energy and Innovation parks, Bridge of Don, but new recruits are expected soon.
The management team comprises directors Stuart Lawson, Andrew Johnston, Martin Thomson, Mat Meredith and Angela Milne. Business-development director Mr Lawson, previously a senior inspection co-ordinator at Stork Technical Services, said: “Between us we have more than 25 years’ combined experience in providing internal remote inspection services.
“Through Aisus Offshore, we are building on this to pioneer new technology and techniques.”
Aisus develops and uses specialist technology for internal visual and ultrasonic inspection services to the oil and gas industry.
Its early work has already led to several new products aimed at improving the process and reliability of inspections offshore.
