Max Petroleum says it has spudded the latest appraisal well at the Baichonas West field in Kazakhstan.
The Zhanros ZJ20 rig is drilling the well to a depth of 1460 as the company targets Jurassic and Triassic reservoirs.
Max has also reached target depth in its UTS-13 appraisal well at the Uytas field.
