Wood Group has landed a three-year contract extension to provide maintenance management support for Total’s seven gas platforms in the Dutch North Sea.
The multi-million dollar deal, which is effective from April 2013, will see more than 100 staff employed for the contract, along with supplying supplementary personnel for turbine maintenance.
The extension follows from Wood Group GTS first landing the contract to provide a dedicated team of engineers for ad hoc and planned maintenance of Total’s Dutch turbine package.
“Under the existing contract, turbo driven equipment availability and reliability both now exceed 98%,” said Iain Murray, Wood Group GTS’s president of oil, gas and industrial services.
“We look forward to working with Total E&P Nederland to optimise their maintenance strategy which will result in the full provision of offshore servicing, engine supply, overhaul, spares and service exchange, and help to further enhance asset performance.”
