Production from part of the Italian Guendalina-3 well operated by Eni has stopped indefinitely, shareholders announced today.
The short string of the well, accounting for approximately 49% of the overall Guendalina production, was shut on August 30 due to low pressure at the manifold.
Diagnostic checks of the string have recorded reduced performance and permeability of the well.
The board of Mediterranean Oil & Gas, who own 20% shares in the Guendalina field, said the string of the well will remain shut while remedial operations are carried out.
Post shut-in the Guendalina field is producing approximately 216 barrels of oil per day.
