The new owner of Scottish business technology company Amor Group said yesterday the firm’s Aberdeen-based energy arm was a “natural fit”.
US-based technology, security and aerospace company Lockheed Martin snapped up Glasgow-based Amor for an undisclosed sum.
Lockheed Martin said the move would allow it to extend and streng-then its existing capabilities within the UK public sector, as well as other markets including energy and transportation and particularly the oil and gas and airport management sectors.
Amor has 200 people working in its Aberdeen operation.
Lockheed Martin UK chief executive Stephen Ball said: “Energy solutions are a natural fit for Lockheed Martin and we have a strong history in the energy sector.
“This strategic acquisition will allow us to provide more services and skills not only in the north-east of Scotland but also to Lockheed Martin customers in the US.”
