Vulcan Completion Products (VCP) has cemented its commitment to the growing Middle East market, as a growing team necessitates a move to larger premises.
Founded in 2016 in Westhill, Aberdeen, VCP designs and manufactures engineered products for the global oil and gas industry completions market.
Supported by its Scottish headquarters, regional offices in Dubai, Baku and Kuala Lumpur and a global network of agents the company sells directly to international oil companies (IOCs) and service companies.
Success in the region, including £1.5m-worth of new deals last year, have recently prompted a relocation to new, larger office space in Dubai.
From here, the newly expanded four-strong team will work on growing the firm’s foothold within the Middle Eastern market.
It follows a major award secured earlier this year in Brunei as part of a partnership with local agent OVB, which will see the group supply floats and centralisers equipment and accessories to Shell Brunei.
The five-year contract, which will see VCP equipment deployed to Brunei for the first time, was awarded after a tender process and includes the option of two, one-year extensions.
The value of the agreement was not disclosed.
Beginning over the summer, it allows the exclusive supply of Vulcan equipment to service the project.
Commenting on the firm’s new Middle East base, VCP managing director Ian Kirk said: “As one of our key growth markets, it is imperative that we correctly position ourselves within the Middle East and having the right people with the right knowledge and experience on board is central to that strategy.”
