An annual search for the best performing individuals and companies in the energy industry gets under way today.
2014 Offshore Achievement Awards are up for grabs in 11 categories, culminating in a ceremony at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on March 20.
The event is open to UK-registered companies operating in the traditional and renewable energy sectors.
Entries will be accepted up till December 2 and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), which organises the annual awards, expects another strong batch of applications from successful and innovative individuals and firms across the energy sector.
SPE board member Ian Phillips, director of business consultancy Pale Blue Dot Energy, said: “The Offshore Achievement Awards is a high-profile event in the energy calendar.
“They provide the ideal opportunity to recognise high achievers, new technologies and innovations and overall company performance.”
He added: “We have experienced an exceptional level of success with the awards since their re-launch under SPE stewardship in 2011, and have already seen a lot of interest this year since the announcement of two new categories (inspiring leader and environmentalist) during Offshore Europe.”
The other categories are export achievement, safety innovation, emerging technology, working together, significant achievement, innovator, young professional, great small company and great large company.
