Reef Subsea has landed a multi-million pound deal with Technip to carry out trenching work on the Bøyla North Sea project.
The Aberdeen-based firm will provide a jet trencher and operators to conduct trenching services on Marathon’s 23million barrel find, around 225km west of Stavanger.
The project, which will be carried out across the company’s bases in Aberdeen, Bergen and Thornaby, will see the company’s new integrated projects unit providing engineering and project management to complete the work, which will be carried out next year.
“We are delighted to have secured this workscope with a prestigious client,” said Reef commercial director Daryl Lynch.
“The Q1000 is an exceptional trencher, managed by experienced operators, which will provide added value to our client on the Bøyla Development project.”
