North-east company Subsea Engineering and Technical Services (SETS) said yesterday it had achieved a 160% rise in turnover during the past year.
The firm, which specialises in project management in the oil and gas and renewable-energy sectors, reported it was now turning over £4million a year.
This compares with £1.5million last year and the growth has coincided with the workforce growing by 18 people to more than 40.
Newmachar-based SETS has also just opened a new office, in Rubislaw Terrace, Aberdeen, which will accommodate specialist project teams.
Company founder and project director Chris Tierney said: “I am very proud of the team for achieving such a fantastic result and continuing to grow the business.”
SETS, which is targeting reaching turnover of £5million for the year ahead, was established in April 2007.
The firm moved into its current head offices in Kingseat Business Park in February 2011, since when the business has grown to its current size from one employing just five project engineers.
Clients include GE, Harkand, CNR International and Fugro.
