The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) in Aberdeen is set to host a new seminar to highlight “new frontiers” in the field of inwell flow surveillance and control.
The seminar ‘Inwell flow surveillance and control: new frontiers’ will discuss practices already in place in downhole flow control and monitoring, and the opportunities for investment and development in the future.
The keynote address will be delivered by Dr Mohamed Noui-Mehidi, a petroleum engineering consultant at Saudi Aramco’s Exploration and Petroleum Engineering Center, Advanced Research Center (EXPEC ARC).
A number of major international companies, such as Weatherford and Halliburton, will also give technical presentations at the seminar.
“There have been some major advances in reservoir monitoring and control recently and the sharing of best practice, findings and real case studies is critical to future sustainability,” said Anthony Onukwu, SPE Aberdeen chairman.
“SPE Aberdeen encourages learning within the industry and is taking a significant step in ensuring that this happens effectively through this event.”
The seminar will take place at the Marcliffe Hotel on October 22. For more information click here.
