Wood Group has landed a two-year deal to continue providing services for the St Fergus Gas Terminal – securing 500 jobs.
The deal will see Wood Group PSN providing integrated services for the terminal and for the Braefoot Bay terminal in Fife.
The Aberdeen-based company has provided services for the plants since 2007, with the new contract taking effect from next April. It is believed to be worth around £62million.
“We have been working with Shell for more than two decades and we are delighted to secure this major piece of work,” said managing director Dave Stewart.
“This is the first contract where we have built our new fabric maintenance capability into the work scope.”
