Aberdeen firm Return to Scene (R2S), which analyses offshore installations and crime scenes, is to transport guests to offshore platforms, subsea environments and the virtual world of installations in the design phase from the comfort of their seats.
Parent SeaEnergy, the Westhill-based energy service firm said yesterday the tour – using R2S’s latest technology – would take place at the Belmont cinema in Aberdeen tomorrow.
R2S will also launch a new user group of clients in the oil and gas industry.
The event will be streamed live to Houston in the US, where the company’s team will host clients based in the Gulf of Mexico.
R2S business development director Bob Donnelly said: “We are excited to host this event, the idea for which evolved from requests from several of our clients to create a user-group.
“Ultimately, it will allow our clients to foster an understanding of how other companies are using our technologies, the benefits of its use and drive the development of our technology and service.”
R2S said its Visual Asset Management software had already been used by 12 North Sea operators to photographically capture their assets.
