Kazakhstan-focused producer Max Petroleum has been boosted after three successful finds in its latest wells.
The company’s appraisal wells on the Uytas field found oil pays at UTS-17 and UTS-18 respectively, with five and three metre pays being discovered following deeper drilling.
Both were found to have ‘excellent’ reservoir quality, the company found.
Meanwhile the company said it had made a good find at its well in Sagiz West, with a 39m pay following drilling down to more than 1200m.
All three wells will be put into test production, the company said.
