A former senior energy industry advisor to the Israeli government is to deliver the keynote speech at a conference in Aberdeen next week.
Michael Franko Kedmi, who helped shape the country’s gas export policy, will address industry figures at the Aberdeen-Israel Lunch and Learn event in the city’s Town House on November 12.
The speech will mark the launch of the countdown to Israel’s first ever major oil and gas conference, UOG 2014, which will take place next year.
““There are already a number of international companies invested in Israel’s energy sector, but we expect the uptake to grow considerably,” said UOG’s Chief Operating Officer, Joshua Beagelman.
“Pioneering Israeli technology means both conventional and unconventional hydrocarbons are now increasingly viable options. With the right kind of business development, Israel could rival Qatar and Saudi Arabia in the energy production league.”
